This book is a trip. I'm glad I'm listening to it vs reading it.

It's trying too hard.

I can't tell if I like thus or not. The problem is Hawthorn is too much of an ass to be even considered likeable.

We all need the author to teach us a masterclass in how to have your characters low-key flirt.

Chapter 30 is an in-depth look in what Drs Fauci and Redfield did in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic when it was still in China.

You know how, in fictional books, you yell at the characters to just simply talk to each other? This has that.

It picked up around chapter 14 and hasn't slowed down since. I think the first 13 chapters would be better served if we had more set up or something.

Oh joy it's starting to finally pick up. Still not the happiest reader but now I need to know what happens.

I'm feeling like a bait and switch. When someone says that they'll be switching bodies, I expect some sort of set up. Not just thrown into the deep end.

This is reading like a Sherlock Holmes novel and I am not disappointed.
