just trying to finish but i’m bored and rly dislike the obnoxious fmc

this started good but i’m so bored now- lots of telling not showing

this feels like a historical romance but spooky

daniel is one of the least annoying protagonists i’ve ever read in horror lol. he’s doing everything i’d do in his situation tbh

heard a lot of good stuff about darcy coates and so far so good!

i forgot i had this book

the writing is….interesting lol but the story has me intrigued enough to keep going

LOL this is so unserious and fun so far

the tone is very YA (which i don’t mind, i love YA) except the F-word is on every other page lol

wow this took quite the turn LOL

love a good academic rivals moment

the mmc just turned up to the fmcs house to help her friend with something and only brought coffee for the fmc and not her friend. 🚩

this is barely 300 pages but idk why it feels 800 pages long and is taking me forever to get through 😭

i read the first book 3 years ago lol but so far everything is making sense

this is interesting, quite a few similarities to caraval but somehow still very different??

sometimes i struggle to define what “good writing” entails. but it’s this book. just incredibly written.

i have a strong hunch about where this is headed, but curious to see how it all plays out

i rly enjoy adrienne young’s writing but unfortunately am finding it really weird here. incredibly confusing writing choices making it hard to care about the characters or story :/
