I am loving this book so far, it’s heavy but so good

This book is giving me anxiety, I’m so stressed for the main characters... , the word harrowing definitely comes to mind. A definite page turner

I’m enjoying it but think as at about 5 chapters ago I’ve figured out what’s going on. Will have to see if I’m right. Pace is good, I’m hoping I’ve got it all wrong and there is a twist otherwise kind of disappointing

Tough to get into but the story is picking up steam and getting by more interesting. Some of the details about life in China around the start of the communist revolution are quite fascinating
