Haven’t updated in a hot min but I’ve found my flow state

I am being too slow again oops so gave this to dad to read and I’ll finish it after book club. It’s alright, more of a memoir/fictionalised memoir than the romance it said it was

Book club book let’s gooo. Very eloquent language, I’m googling words every paragraph but it’s good to learn more new words. She did use the word pubescent 3 times in the first 10 pages to describe youth which was felt a bit weird

Finished part 1 I need to do a proper update on my stories!!

Chapter 5 be like:
Oh this is nice
Oh we are so cooked
It’s so over
PAIGE DID THE THING
We are so back
Oh heck time to face the music

Finished chapter 4 and omg I love where this is going!! It makes sense with the occasional thing I’ve seen online about Paige’s status in the underworld 👀

Paige try to actually rest and not get more injured putting herself in danger challenge: impossible.

I think I have kinda worked out the plot or secrets already but I don’t know what the climax will be and who’s gonna die bc of it

I understand where Eliza is coming from but also Eliza my girl whyyy 😭

(I’m reading and listening again - I don’t normally have more than one medium of a book but Samantha Shannon can have my money twice over!)

Ik this is really minor and doesn’t affect the plot but why did Kate Gray call an Italian character Juliette - there is no J in the Italian alphabet!!!! (I’m a language nerd who’s also gets irked by inconsistencies bc I’m a very logical, methodical, person etc plus languages is one of my special interests)

Determined to somewhat stick to my TBR, good so far, thanks to Cally for sharing her thoughts on this which made me buy the ebook!!
