So far this is a page turner but also disturbing because you are reading about a train wreck / Joan Didion transcribing her therapists session, talking about her adopted daughter with an alcohol abuse problem. The issue for me initially is that this was published after her death and there was no will to publish this. It feels like you are reading a very intimate diary, too intimate somehow…

I thought this would be funny, but it’s actually a very gruesome read. Having a hard time finishing it.

I’m committed to finishing this book, but am I the only one who has no idea what’s going on here?

When these quarterly volumes arrive, I begin reading them immediately, and I always wish they were longer! As usual, the short stories here are from unique voices and perspectives beautifully written.

I don’t want this book to end, this is my first book by Paul Auster, and I’m hooked!

Nearing the end of his second volume, a remarkable sci fi page turner.

I can’t get enough of this writer!
