Truly, profound, how to book without being a how to book! Quite seriously, this is extremely popular for a reason, even on Goodreads!

A very powerful book of wisdom, not what you might expect, in terms of pop psychology, something more profound and useful, almost finished, it is set up for daily readings, just two or three pages a day makes it very easy to go through in the allotted four weeks

Really enjoying this daily-reader type book, highly recommended (by me)

So far this is a page turner but also disturbing because you are reading about a train wreck / Joan Didion transcribing her therapists session, talking about her adopted daughter with an alcohol abuse problem. The issue for me initially is that this was published after her death and there was no will to publish this. It feels like you are reading a very intimate diary, too intimate somehow…

I thought this would be funny, but it’s actually a very gruesome read. Having a hard time finishing it.
