Cool with references to the authors other novels. (The movies mentioned in this one.)

You don’t really want to read this, but you kinda do. It’s a short book lacking the personal history of the characters but the level of gore, sploitations and sickness is sort of fascinating. There’s not a rich language or anything of that sort.
I prefer novels with a little more story to them than only the grotesque details of the doings, but it’s a nice break from other books.

In true Kingfisher style this is a creepy story with a lot of humorous observations and lines. Still I feel that the novel is not quite creepy enough and at the moment it’s been much the same for too many pages. Not sure if I will finish this. I feel that it lacks the constant nerve like in ‘The twisted ones’.

+Almost done with this one, and it still entertains me. Usually I get bored at the end of horror books as many of them become really weird and sort of ‘out of tone’ compared to the rest of the novel, but this one keeps to its form. It has got plenty of humor!
-Some sentences are a bit repetitive.

Spoiler:
In my opinion the green book reading in the middle of the novel was a bit too much and boring.
