I am finding the Christian theme a bit over the top. It is difficult to follow the story line when it is sandwiched between massive hunks of being saved.

Mocca is not how one spells mocha. Each time I see it in this book I ache for a red pen.

One of my favorite authors, excited to start this series.

I didn't know it was possible to despise two characters as much as I do with the mothers. Control issues doesn't begin to cover these women. If the book was any longer I doubt I would finish it.

Conversation between characters is a bit stilted. Stiff and unrealistic but not enough to put me off reading the rest of the book.

Once I finally got the characters straight I can't put it down.

Would recommend to anyone interested in learning about the Holocaust.

Not one I would recommend so far.
