Attack Stratagems

This chapter is more mental than physical. It states that when knowing yourself and the enemy, you will succeed in 100 battles, knowing the enemy but not yourself, you will succeed half the time, knowing neither, you will succumb to every battle.

What this means is that knowing yourself is just as important as knowing the enemy. Self reflectance is just as important as planning and preparation.

This book is trash I’m putting it back on the shelf

Chapter 2: Waging War

Although the title may not seem applicable to everyday life, I found this chapter to be of greater use to my daily conscious.

This chapter states that the longer the battle continues, the less the victor shall receive. There is no general that gains from extended combat.

In life, it’s easy to get carried away and lose sight of your goal. Stay focused and victory will be achieved.

I'm going to read this one chapter per day and start without commentary then read it again with commentary.

Chapter 1: Laying Plans
The art of war is governed by 5 factors - The moral law, Heaven, Earth, The commander, method and discipline.

Whichever side holds these factors superior shall hold victory. All warfare is based on deception. Make your enemy believe they have superior footing. do whats least expected.
