I keep accidentally clicking on I’ve finished this book. Anyways Kamala was going to see the Buddha that Sidd left but on the way there got bit by a snake and died rip Kamala. Her son who’s also named Siddhartha is now going to be raised by Siddhartha and that’s going to stink bro doesn’t seem like the parenting type. Also there’s only 120 pages in the book idk why it says I have so much left.

After leaving the life of money, wine, and other worldly possessions, Siddhartha became sick of the person he’d become. The thought of falling into the depths of the river had almost consumed him. He fell asleep on the side of the river… into a deep slumber… upon awaking… BANG GOVINDA RETURNS, except he doesn’t recognize Sidd. The two parts ways unfortunately and Sidd feels like he’s reborn.

The gambling got him. He realized the game that he’s been playing these past couple years had entrapped him. He lost himself in worldly pleasures and in Kamala so he dipped. He was playing a never ending game, one that we all play. Make money, lose money, make money again. A Samana has no procession but this guy had girls and wine on a daily. He didn’t leave without leaving his mark, Kamala is pregnant

Siddhartha has now dedicated this part of his life to learn the art of a tradesmen just to buy stuff for Kamala. He lives with Kamaswami who has taught him the ins and outs of trade but Sidd’s head is never in it because he’s always thinking of Kamala. Bros finally getting some bread but doesn’t care. I have a feeling he’s not going to be in this industry much longer.

This guy took everything he learned and threw it away the moment he saw a good looking girl with cash. He says he wants to learn the “teachings of love” from Kamala but I know he just wants to hit. Bro literally kissed the breasts of the very first woman he saw are we being fr. I envision this guy being 5’8 70lbs with dust in his hair how did he get away with that.

Bro started having a mid-life crisis the moment he left his dawg Govinda. Talking about “Siddhartha emerged more firmly Self than before. This, he felt, had been the final shiver of awakening.” Like bruh you were just tweaking for a sec then calmed down. I suppose he also decided to never have a teacher again after learning everything he could about himself and only focus on finding himself was insightful I guess

Damn so Govinda stayed back with the Buddha and Siddhartha left left to go on his own journey without a doctrine, he pretty much is just going iso the rest of his life until he’s god or it doesn’t work out. Rip Govinda bruh I really thought he was gonna ride with Sidd the whole time.

He aurafarmed on the elite Samana then left to go find “the chosen one” with his pal Govinda. “Stationing himself immediately before the Samana, his soul collected, he caught the eye of the old man with his own eyes and bewitched him, made him fall silent, made him lose his will.” That’s crazy to let a man younger than you do to you.

Siddhartha has started his quest to become a Samana.

Did some reading at the beach, still more dialogue in the story, I’m starting to think the whole book is just the two of them (Kuno and Iketo’s mom) arguing politely about if Ineko should have been admitted into the mental hospital.

The mother and Kuno continued walking away from the inn, discussing their views on fate, Ineko’s illness, and the validity of Ineko’s version of her father’s death. Perhaps it was her father’s fate the he perished doing what made him happiest, perhaps it be Ineko’s fate to remain locked away. The two continued walking and agreed to stay a night at an inn, the mother seeming more uneasy that before, bell at6

The word “but” has been the main theme of these last couple pages. Ineko’s mom detests the word and urges kuno to stop using it. On the other hand, Kuno believes it lets us change our thoughts and steer them in a new direction. “It’s how we humans rescue ourselves from the anxieties that entrap us, and open new paths forward”. Definitely an interesting view.
