I was expecting this book to be more focused on the Astors' experience on the Titanic. So far, it's more of an education on the social elite. I'm forcing myself to continue reading it in the hope that I'll get more engaged with the story.

Author Helen Thomson delivers incredibly technical information in a way that makes you feel like you're having a light discussion with a friend over a cup of tea. The content is quite fascinating. I'm reading it through a second time.

Need a kickstart to a slump in your faith? This book may be just what's needed. I checked it out from the Amazon Prime library as a fill-in between books, but it's turned into a gem. Full of supportive scripture and life examples, Seek Him First is potentially life-changing.

I'm losing sleep to stay up with this precious story of young love, loss, heartache, growth, and discovery. I hate that I'll finish it soon, but I can't put it down.

I quickly became endeared to sweet Josie Jo. She is quiet and a deep thinker despite her young age.

The story is less compelling than the description implies. I expected more depth into Belle's emotions & the inner conflict she experienced. The story moves too quickly from one event to another denying me the chance to be swept up. I do like the use of strong vocabulary throughout the book, though.
