It’s hard to put down, but there is some clear toxicity between the two. It’s also hard as an SA victim to read, but I knew that going in.

I’d definitely recommend with some warnings of course. Intrigued to see how it ends.

Good so far - the mate thing is a bit weird in this book so far though.

Good so far - I want to keep reading. It’s just getting suspenseful, but duty calls (dishes and laundry)! lol

I am waiting for a wow ending, but it’s been very informative. To hear how he felt throughout the years. His experiences. It’s heartbreaking, but very interesting as well.

I would say the book has some truth to it in terms to how foster parents are treated, the way some caseworkers do their jobs, and even the way kiddos come into care. However, it upsets me the way things are handled throughout the book! If I was reading this for “fun” it may have been okay. However, I am reading this trying to find resources for foster parents and I won’t be using this to recommend.
