Idk what I expected from this book, but a chapter in the POV of the FMC’s mom when she was younger trying to hook up with the MMC’s uncle (who raised him) certainly wasn’t it

How does the MMC go from “I’m fucked uo from my parents divorce” to telling the FMC she’s a bad girl and needs to be spanked within the same breath, after repeatedly telling her nothing can happen between them???

I’d really rather not read about a 17 year old fucking in the shower

Okay this volume is actually SO funny. I actually laughed out loud at “well zoom and enhance, Nell!”

At the 50% mark of this book, not even half of what’s described in the US synopsis has happened yet, so I looked up the UK synopsis. It’s SO much better, it doesn’t feel like the entire story is being spoiled.

You know what’s refreshing about this? It’s a YA romantasy with 3 main characters but a throuple seems more likely than a love triangle. Considering it’s not tagged as being LGBTQ+ I don’t think that’s going to be the case but no love triangle is really quite nice.

I should not be able to get 42% into a book before the description of the book starts to seem like it could be fitting soon. Especially a thriller!!

I don’t understand how a book full of death & sex with a ghost who likes to say ‘good girl’ can be so boring to me
