A curmudgeonly scientist turns himself invisible, then slowly loses his grip on reality. What starts as a strange experiment becomes a campaign of fear across the English countryside. The real horror is how little it takes for a man with no one watching him to stop caring about anyone else.

This didn’t really work for me. I think it would have been a better book if it were told from the perspective of a different character as it became quite repetitive and drawn-out. The twist at the end changed the tone quite considerably, making the rest of the story fall flat. It’s been optioned for a movie/TV series, which might end up pretty good if the structure is rethought.
