I’m not one to use OMG lightly, but OMG these stories are good, sharp, evocative, so much nog said but there nevertheless. Quite impressed so far

Three stories in - it’s SO good!

Gosh I’m so impressed.

It started off amazing, but I’m struggling now.

Some beautiful stuff in there. I don’t understand all of it though, it referring to a time and culture I do not know, and I’m such a way I can only understand there’s significance, but not how and why. Nevertheless some gems of sentences and observations.

I’m afraid I made a wrong purchase in getting Feel Free. It’s not a book to read from cover to cover. It takes time. I’m on it. I’ve liked a few of her essays (gosh, she’s so SMART, I love smart women) but right now... right now I’ve had to endure three that did absolutely do NOTHING to me. And that’s a lot to keep going
