Honestly I night drop the book all she does is think about and obsess over a man - he's not that interesting and it's written as a first person narrative
So it reads like a self insert cosplay diary
And i feel tricked into reading this by the library which incorrectly tagged rhis as fantasy when it is clearly romance genre

Despite the subject matter very easy to read BUT why would two country bumpkin girls be trained on Palace etiquette by a soldier/advisor and not a woman?
Also very trusting to think that the mc and mc's bestie wouldn't spill the mission plan if they chose not to accept...

This book is written like a tv show - like you already know and care about the characters when you don't yet.

It was hard to get into because we are already supposed to like the mc Mira because she's right and everyone is wrong. It was annoying that there's no backstory for Mira it's dripfed through the next few chapters.
