I'm pretty sure the world building isn't finished, though I'm halfway in. It's a captivating read but I still wonder who benefits from this regime? Both men and women seem to hate it.

I get treated to a description of Thetis' skin, dress and hair every time she shows up. Thanks, I hate it! I'd like to know if other readers enjoy having their hand held through every reference to Greek Mythology and terminology, or does it just bug *me* because I'm a fluent speaker?
The writing is enjoyable, but not mesmerising enough to live up to the hype for me, or spare me from nitpicking.

I am really enjoying this, definitely way more than I initially expected.
