Meanwhile still waiting for more with the ex as he's still a threat.

Dayyummm 😳 DCB is like hopping on a high speed train. It starts off hot and angsty with a helluva lot of WTF is going on. I've been hooked from the start. Fan-fckng-tastic 🖤🔥🖤

I will be adding a note re the cheating CW in my review since that's something that would normally have me steering clear.

The pacing has felt a bit slow, but I'm curious to see where this goes. It's Multi-POV but most chapters are FMC POV.

Seemed promising but poor execution - there's been zero build for the relationships and connections.. They just are. I kinda like the insta-connection but I need some build between them, why them. There's some mystery and a stalker but lacks intrigue. Everything is told single POV. I'm just so bored with it. I should DNF.

Not sure if I'm feeling this one... It's dark contemporary RH with bully, told in Multi-POV. The guys have some sort of revenge plot that now includes targeting the FMC - though to what end or why hasn't been revealed. The FMC is bland with a side of tough chick attitude with absolutely nothing backing it up, and has that whole her body betrays her by getting aroused near them. Flat characters not doing it for me

OMG this book is amazing! 🖤💜🖤 Getting closer to the end and I feel like I'm in a Jason Statham movie with all this heist / con job / chase scenes action 😅
They have packed in a lot into this standalone, but it's paced really well and the characters are richly written and complex and have the growth arcs that they do so well.

Gah! The ending of book 2 has so many waring emotions, but I absolutely love Kiera even more for how she handled herself, knew her own worth and limits 🖤❤️🖤 One of my favorite things has to be Kiera showing off her skills with recon work.

Re-reading a favorite 🖤❤️🖤 I love Kiera so much! Totally set a new bar for FMCs who are balanced snarky, badass, smart, skilled, vulnerable. And like she will not only save her own ass but will save the guys too 🙌 While having imperfections and growth. I need more FMCs like Kiera 🖤❤️🖤

Gah, these characters 🥺🥺💙😥😥💙🥺🥺💙💙💙 I'm seriously loving the language and connection through dance moments. I love that this book has Multi-POV. I'm loving the progression curve for their journey.

I'm 10% in and I can already tell these characters are going to break me 🥺🥺 hopefully in the best way

Book 2 has the emotional complexity and depth of the first book but on a different wave length - - it's swoon city 😍😍😍 and the growth of the characters (all of them!) makes my heart soar ❣️

Soooooo I thought we were coming to a turning point for me hating on Tiernan (the main H of the arranged marriage)
But apparently not 😅 And I'm just looking at my % read thinking not much runway left for this a**hole's redemption

Ok. Back to this beast of a book. It's definitely a 5+⭐ read for me. I just need to get through the pain.. Erhm, I mean, the end.

I'm loving the Multi-POV

So far I've laughed more than I've cried (happy tears and sad ones). Definitely going through all of the emotions and I'm buckling in for the second half.

I re-read the last chapter of Queen of Anarchy before diving in and cried again 😭
This book picks up from where it left off and feels really raw for what River and the others are going through 🥺
The guys being the anchors to ground River 🥺
Then Gage reminds me that praise kink is my new thing 🥵
