I cry a lot but only to things that I relate to. Heartbreak, failure, sadness, betrayal, nostalgia, regret.
Chapter 23 made me cry because I was MOVED.
There is a speech by a certain character in this chapter. And it resonated so strongly with me. Not because I can relate, but because it made me feel as if I am part of the world- the intended recipient of that speech. As if I was there in that moment. Shook my core

I cried in the first 5 chapters. Does that mean anything? Probably not. I cry a lot either way haha

To be frank, I’m struggling to keep reading. But this is probably a me problem (no I’m not gaslighting myself- the magic mantra to shun gaslighting)

It could be my sense of humor, but this book has me cackling out loud more than I’d care to admit.

I love love loveee the jovial and lighthearted pov of the protagonist.

I know someone who would absolutely love this book. Don’t know if they’ve read it though.
I can imagine them living vicariously through our protagonist, getting all excited about the experiments and the labs, and enjoying the little mad scientist feeling.

I’m loovvvinnnggg this.
It’s scratching every single itch in my brain about the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
How can one not love fiction!!!!

I really do hope the next book is the last. I too, like the protagonist, am growing older by the page.

Nahhh not these people getting freaked out by a Roomba, thinking it to have the potential to take over the universe😭

Never have I encountered a character with such a penchant for:
1) getting kidnapped
2) repeatedly dropping the ONE thing he’s ever seen holding, i.e. the sword
3) getting knocked out cold
4) wake up screaming
5) did I mention getting kidnapped

“But for once in all my life, I’d managed to keep my sword.”

I think MC is a fan of “Old Earth’s” favorite artist DJ Khaled cause he just hit us with ANOTHER ONE (I apologize for the redundant humor).

Space time continuum makes my brain hurt.
