I'm still wondering why the plot only showed up at the end. And why must there be a sequel?

I feel like an idiot attempting to explain why this book should be a classic.

But it should.

So here's the thing, I've read LOTR when I was very young, I can't even remember what age, and I don't remember any of it. Therefore, I'm not marking it read until I reread it. My step mom bought all the books, cute little additions, and I do literally mean little. They are bible pages. Not very convenient. She didn't expect them to be so tiny.

I’ve taken forever to read this because I don’t want it to end :(

This book is a 450 page long mind fuck. Every time something batshit like the sky turning upside down happens, and you think maybe someone’s gonna explain that, some other crazy shit happens. And I don’t care what her name is, Ella isn’t working for me.

So much sex

I’m nearly at the end and I keep hoping it will get better. I had such high hopes.

Love Magnus... not too crazy about Cleo and Lucia. I feel like these characters took little effort in development.

Started off nice and sweet then it fell flat.

I'm considering DNFing on page one. She turned Persephone into an angsty teenager. I'm bitter.

A book set in the 19th century that doesn’t have unrealistic feminist characters (I’m talking to you Kerri Maniscalco). Faith’s idolization of her father is heartbreaking. Someone give this poor child parents who love her.
