this could be due to the translation (that has gotten a lot of criticism) but one thing i’ll never like about extremely plot heavy + fantasy books is how the world building can be so imaginative but the story-telling (like. telling the reader about the world and the history) is just not as immersive as it should be given all the effort?? i don’t need flowery language but i need something
