This is very uplifting story that I was unaware of. The creation of the ASE put millions of pocket-sized books into the hands of troops. These books served as a refuge for the enlisted troops. I am curious to read a few books, that in the end, turned out to be considered legendary among them.

Dystopian novels are not my first books to grab. However, my curiosity of reading Octavia Butlers' writtings and this book being recommended, won out. This novel focused on destination isn’t all that important, it is the journey that matters. This means Parable of the Sower isn’t fast-paced or stuffed with plot. The reader gets time to really get to know the characters.
