Among the best novels I have read this year. Maggie O’Farrell is a wonderful writer. The story is divided into four long sections that may turn off some readers. There are some mystical aspects to the story that I accepted, but did not love. I did love the characters she created and her writing is on a level few authors reach. I enjoyed “Hamnet,” and want to read, “The Marriage Portrait.”
