Everything about this is so aggressively terrible. The author, however, is a decent con woman if she's managed to sell this dreck so effectively. Mind-bogglingly dull, uninspired and badly written.

The heroine of this one is almost as unlikeable as the heroine of Kinsale's The Dream Hunter, which is also the weakest Kinsale I've read. I guess it comes down to the heroine for me. I love a bitchy heroine, but a manipulative shrew does not a compelling bitch make.

I actually liked that the random guy who asked the heroine out sent her a link to Google Forms where she could select what she'd like to do, but the exit interview he said he also sends his dates is a little weird. Still makes him more memorable than the actual protagonists of this book.

The most likeable thing about any of these characters are the Gilmore Girls references

I don't know if I'll be able to like or respect a heroine who cannot think of at least a few Frances McDormand movies off the top of her head.

The part with soup must be among five most idiotic things I've ever read. This whole book is idiotic. I can't wait to be done with this.

I'm *this* close to throwing in the towel, but it seems kinda sacrilegious do abandon a Joanna Shupe book. Why is this so tedious? It has all the makings of a Shupe classic, but somehow it never got off the ground.
