I'm bored. The writing leaves so much to be desired.

I'm already annoyed and bored. Is Shane ashamed that he's into dudes, or this dude specifically? Is this one of those MM books written for women? Also, the writing so far is nothing special.

I think I might have to DNF this one. Not because I'm not enjoying it. I am! But the SA of M has triggered me in a way that no SA scene has in a long time, despite the fact that it was written as mildly as a SA could be written.

Holy moly I struggled to get through the intro mainly because it was super repetitive almost to the point of condescension.

Aaand done. Didn't know we'd start the book with three lambs bloodily killed by a dog and the dog shot.

"Knowing someone's Publix sub order was important. It was a key insight into their character."

If I didn't live in GA (the book is set in FL), I would think this is hyperbole. I would also think she was overreacting about a sandwich. But oh man. I get it.

Good Gods I'm bored. I can't bring myself to finish this a second time. Ah well. I should still be able to lead bookclub based on my notes.

Re-reading for the bookclub in running for some co-workers. Book won, so want to make sure I'm up to date on it and my prior thoughts to discuss.

I was enjoying the book and then this sentence happened in the most derogatory fashion and now I'm pretty sure the book will be a DNF. Turned me off completely.
