was in the mood for something a bit different, enjoying this so far

Alma is one of my favorite main characters, the mental conflict of guilt vs bloodlust is my favorite. Add a revenge plot and idk how it could get better. I’m interested in seeing if/how the romance develops.

pacing is a little stilted but I’m still loving this so much

Every chance this book has to become actually kinda good is ruined, so much potential squandered to cater to this terrible “romance”

I like the writing (mostly) and the emotion it conveys, however I hate the romance so much and I really hope the main character grows and becomes more mature, I want her to stop caving in to Rhordyn (and of course way too many sexual references for my taste)

I’m trying to enjoy this but I can’t get behind the romance 😭 it’s icky and way too animalistic for my taste. But the writing is very nice (except when random
vulgarities are thrown in that don’t fit with the tone) and I do think Orlaith’s character is interesting

Not my usual cup of tea (romantasy doesn’t often work well for me) but I’m going in with an open mind, really I want to like it! Mostly because the special editions of this series are so pretty and I want to justify buying them lol.
