one thing that we should focus on is eradicating the whole "i do not want this, but my body won't listen to me". after i learned about the pain, shame and trauma that SA victims carry over the way their bodies responded to something terrible and cruel that was unwilling and without consent done to them... yeah, let's just not. it's not sexy, it's not angsty, it's disgusting.

if you've spent three minutes on twitter and come across a hozier stan you'll never be able to read this book and see it as anything other than a find a replace fanfiction.
it is very clearly and i'll say even unapologetically about him and while it is certainly entertaining or charming at times, it does get pretty uncomfortable as the narrative keeps hammering on these borderline fetishizing archetypes about him.
