Phenomenal so far. I wasn't sold on the writing style at the start, but it's perfect and practical for the heavy content of this book. This book is traumatic, full stop. But oddly enough, it is very empowering.

Slow to start but really picks up. You really need the more distant first chapter in order to get acclimated, and by the time you need the information you're immersed. This world is dark and cruel and utterly fascinating. The mystery of it pulls you through.
