Enjoying most of these stories

Really enjoying these

It’s become an international thriller involving way too many new people and an almost silly plot. I just want Jamie to get rid of the corruption and go back to a good Scandinavian Thriller. I’m bored and will now skip narration to hear just what I need too. I’m giving this series one more shot with the next book. Or I’m out.

No I’m struggling with this one. I might have to go back to the Xe Sands narrated audiobook and see if that helps. It just seems to have got a little strange and not in a good way. Will leave it a while and come back to it

I have no idea what’s happening but I’m enjoying it. Once again with this author I’m loving the characters and the irreverent humour. I am struggling at this point to get in my head where they are and what is actually happening. Like I said thigh, I’m still listening.

Enjoying this. Living the humour and little bits of information on subjects I wouldn’t really be interested in. However, it’s a slow burn. Waiting for something really creepy to happen. But like I said the humour and what I feel it’s building to is keeping my interest

This one spooked me out a few times and I liked most of the characters. However, it went on for a little too long and left far too many questions unanswered. It would have been nice to get an explanation for some of what happens.

Have switched from the audiobook to a physical copy. The main reason being the narrators voice is so sexy it’s impossible to listen at the speed I prefer for this kind of page turner. Really enjoying this book so far. Some great creepy moments!

Great little creepy short stories. Like darker, shorter, teenage Point horror so far. Dipping in and out of this. Enjoying it.

I’m not really sure if I’m getting this book at all. I’m not really invested yet in either storyline either present or medieval. It’s got such good reviews though I’m sticking with.

Thought I’d read this before I netflixed it. So far so good, story building nicely and interesting characters.

I really have no idea what this book is trying to be, it just isn’t coming together. I think I may DNF this one, I feel very frustrated at it and life is too short to waste another 400 pages.

I’m listening to the audiobook of this. I am enjoying it but I’m currently in a horror mood. I picked this up to try and break a mini slump. I will get back to it soon though as the story is building nicely.

Really enjoying this. I was surprised to find I hadn’t already read it! I have a physical copy but currently enjoying the audiobook on SCRIBD. Again it’s kids on bikes. Maybe cause it’s the summer I’m enjoying this trope so much. I feel an IT and The Body reread coming up soon.

Enjoying this so far. The writing is great and the story is setting up nicely. Already liking the characters too.

I never update this early but I have heard so many good things about this book and it sounds perfect for me but the writing style is irritating me slightly. I will stick with this though. Maybe it’s just me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hmm 🤔 not sure about this one yet. The set up to me seems a bit ridiculous but I’m hoping once we get settled in The Village itself it will pick up.

I don’t know why I’m struggling with this but it’s taking me ages. I keep picking up something else instead.

Really enjoying this. Coming of age, bullies, secret dens, a cemetery, bad adults and a monster so far. The writing is great, characters are I retesting and have great dark personal stories.

Really enjoying this one so far. Two timelines, mystery, spooky old house and the amazing Cornwall coast as a setting. Du Maurier vibes and the older Simone St James books.

Hard to ignore the likeness to one of my favourite 90’s movies The Craft. The setting, the time period and the group of girls involved. A lot darker though and a lot more depth of witchcraft practices and history. Enjoying so far…

Really enjoying this one so far. Been in a reading slump, nice to escape back into my fictional worlds again.

Only started this and I already feel traumatised. Maybe it’s the narrator too as I’m listening on audible. The first book give me disturbed dreams. No idea why these seem to get me as I read so much horror, psychological thrillers etc.

Strange and creepy so far. Not entirely sure of what is going on.

Carried through from 2021. Hope my reading slump goes soon.

I still haven’t finished this one. I have no idea why, I even carried it with me into this New Year. Hopefully get round to finishing it soon as I was enjoying it.
