Read most of this under the counter at work eating secret grapes and waiting for spivak to arrive. The experience of reading it was very illicit which felt appropriate given the entire erotic beauty of the story. Spivak was very late and much shorter than I’d imagined. She had a beautiful jewel embroidered hat and a cane. I guess the book will remain technically stolen until I finish it and replace it on the shelf.

i’ve been reading this book a few pages at a time every day… just bc it’s too beautiful to read all at once. do you ever have those books that change your life in a way you never thought was possible??? every single line in here makes me think so deeply about myself and the world in a new way. her words are so specific and cut so deep. anyways i love this book so much and i never want it to be over
