Overall, I'm really enjoying this read, it kept me up reading very late, but the detective isn't connecting the dots when it's so glaringly obvious. Very frustrating.

I'm sorry, but the incorrect spelling of counsel/co-counsel is driving me nuts...

I don't think that was good for her broken ribs...

Um...seems like this get-to-know-you scene is in the wrong place...seeing as they're repeating previous observations as new revelations...

So much telling... main characters have not properly met yet, so many unnecessary scenes, and very repetitive inner monologue and dialogue...

It's puzzling to read British phrases in American spelling...

The author has now referred to "hygge" for the second time. The first time in relation to Norway, now in relation to Sweden. Hygge is a Danish term and unique to them!

Wow... I'm only a few pages in and I'm dizzy with the mixed tenses and time hops - one second the guy is seeing a new girl at a desk as everyone is leaving, in the next, he's been distracted by her all day?

I finished the first book and had to get this one straight away. Stayed up way too late (again) reading this one.

Could not put it down, was reading from 9 pm until 2 am but had to stop because of my eyes. Also, it had me crying, which makes my eyes all puffy...

Such an intriguing read!

So far, I like it. Except Nuremberg makes me think of trials and Nazis...

Oh, the commas are doing my head, in 🤦‍♀️

So far, the MC has moved from situation to situation, location to location, but I don't feel like anything's really happened yet...

The Dare imprint simply doesn't work for me. I'm annoyed with the characters who are supposed to have serious careers yet think about getting it on constantly and letting it interfere with their work. That might be excusable if there was actually some tension between them, but it's just them having lots of sex and reliving it in inner monologue. Ugh.

I think they've gotten Sweden confused with Finland. Unless he stayed way up north, I doubt most people would have saunas in their backyards....

I don't know if I can finish this... Just before this, I read Whitney G's Two Weeks Notice, and so far this book is lackluster by comparison. Then I went on Goodreads and saw all the positive reviews and descriptions of this being a modern Beauty and the Beast. I guess I'll have to try to read it from that perspective instead. I want to like this, I want to support indie authors, but so far, the editing...no.

How much longer? It seems like the only thing that happens in this book is two cardboard cutouts having sex over and over again....

I'm trying to feel sympathy for the POV character, but she's made it so hard to like her!

The POV character is slut-shaming someone. I'm really not feeling any empathy towards her.

Mixing tense makes it really hard to read - said (past tense) becomes says (present tense) without any clear indication why

I'm having trouble connecting with the POV character

I'm so fed up with the Mia character.
