I hate the kinda dramatic irony that's like well it's not like the characters are unreasonable for thinking what they're thinking at all however I know how these stories go and it's blindingly obvious that they're making a mistake. only half because it really annoys me, it's also in large part because it makes me feel like a massive curmudgeon

like it's not the book's fault rlly but these characters are kinda laser cut into shapes that annoy me xD

normally when I think well I just wouldn't have done all that re: a character it's meant neutrally bc there's a lot that idc about that it is normal to. I am having a weirdly strong negative 'well I simply wouldn't have done all that' reaction though
