A true anti hero protagonist. Loving it so far!

Vonnegut is making me sad

About a quarter through, I feel this series would be better as a trilogy and it’s a bit meh that there’s so many books because it feels like this story might be going on unnecessarily long but I’ll stick through this one and then decide if the third book is in the cards.

So early on but this is already too scarily prophetic for 2025

At first I was not a huge fan, but the pace and plot has picked up and feels less forced.

At first I was pretty bored and not feeling the book, almost DNF. But the prom party just happened and my jaw was dropped the whole time. Definitely will keep reading!

thought it was a cute queer love story but it's more so annoying white boy discovers empathy (barely)

R. F. Kuang has infused her own statements/interview snippets into the character you are supposed to dislike ... oh Rebecca you are devious

At first I was not into Babel because 1800s London … but then the characters really made the story fun and fascinating and now I can’t get enough.

Loving this and it explains Ricken so much.

Rin is like Meredith Grey in the sense that the universe will make sure every single tragic thing that can happen to a person will happen.

It is living up to the hype so far, reminds me a lot of An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

lowkey painful read, but i'm reading it to finish the series
