I can see where she's coming from. Why she's making those rash decisions. However, I dislike her, a lot. Just to be honest, hate is the right word. She actually got dissuaded to go to the countryside and work at the farms there so she will be "washed of the black stain". It's unbelievable that she doesn't even take a second to think of all the things her family has done for her, all the things she took granted for.

"One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world."

Malala, brave and fearless, is powered on my her awareness of injustice to those who lack the gift of education. She is the kind of girl who though thrives in any environment she's put in, but won't ever forget her origin. She isn't arrogant and doesn't take things for granted. She is the type of girl that I think, I would want to be friends with.

Little Ms. Perfect. Expectant. Unsophisticated.

I think she's too emotional and she shuts down completely when she faces conflict, unable to stand up for herself and control her emotions when she needs to. In the start I thought she was just naive and uninformed, however now I feel like she's just selfish and unconsiderate of others. I don't really like her, but in some scenes, I do feel like she's been mistreated.

I can not relate. At all. This book is like a new opening to me, because I never thought of life without a mom. What makes me wonder is the connection between the disappearance of Pheobe's mom and the police's son. Its weird why the so called "lunatic", a young man who is the son of a police officer, would want kidnapped or take away someone's mom. It's just weird. I wonder if her mom wasn't kidnapped or taken away?

Walk Two Moons, an interesting comparson between the flashback and the present, is confusing at the start. It's about a girl called Sal, telling a story of her past. She retell's her past life to her gandparents on a trip to her mother's house for a suprise birthday celebration. As she tells her story she recalls a secret message sent to her friend, "Don’t judge a man until you’ve walked two moons in his moccasins."

Silence. Screams. Shock.

In an instant, life changes. A silver steel fist seizes Noelle's heart, threatening to crush the life out of her. Her lips turn blue. Her teeth chatters. Her eyes glazes over. Is this all just a dream? Her eyes glimmer with tears, blurring her vision. She thinks of papa. Her last memory of his face. Her last time hearing his voice. His last words, “I love you.”

All she wanted, was papa.

Who Would Win series, an interesting collection of nonfiction magazines, compares all types of animals from all times and places. Killer Shark or Great White Shark? Wolverine or Tasmanian Devil? T Rex. or Velociraptor? The intensity of the animals. The visualization of their battle. Who. Would. Win.

I really like how the author puts his characters in a very hard spot leaving them to figure it out on their own. I also notice how the story had started with two parts but slowly started to merge and make more sense just like ALWTW. The way that the author describes the different settings also makes it easy to imagine and have a image of whats happening right now in the book inside my head.

I notice throughout the book that all the characters are very straight forward and don't try to hid and go around talking to insult or tell them something. I wonder why the author would make the characters swear so much.

I wonder why after Vandel found out about Schmidt and his quantum computing, would he want his whole company to go black and not accept any other offer?
I notice that Schmidt really doesn't like security, I wonder why?

I wonder why the writer wants to introduce Alicia, and have Bobby trust her when he just met her and when they are still bascially complete strangers?
I also wonder why Bobby is acting like a jerk towards his parents because he doesn't want to act like that, but he just does?
Another wonder I have, is how did he face boredom before he met Alicia, because he can't catch up on homework or have fun with friends?

After reading chapters 13-14, I noticed that at the end of chapter 13 Linda Sue Park had mentioned that it took the boys a year and a half to get to the refugee camp. I wonder how it took so long for Salva and the boys to get to the camp? While the length the boys and the men took were similarly equivalent, when Uncle and the men took Salva and travelled to the Itang camp, it took way less time than when the boys.

I wonder how the mysterious men in Nya's part of story would want to build a well in the middle of two rich growing trees when the ground is so dry and hard as a rock? I also wonder how Salva suddenly went from being in the middle of the desert to being at the refugee camp in just a few pages after his Uncle died, when the whole half part of the book was talking all about his long journey?
