I love this historical fiction....well written and well researched.

A well written love story with a little bit of fairy tale thrown in that crosses the seas from NYC to Burma . Am anxious to see where this will lead.

This book sounds very interesting and it was nominated for a pultizer. Yesterday I hoped it would pick up a bit...it is slow. The day before I thought not much has happened but I'm getting a great idea of what Savanah is like. Today I think its getting more boring instead of better....I may need to discard this book....not that interested in the direction it is going...which seems to be nowhere !

This is a very well written book. I am enjoying it very much.

This is a book club selection , and while I'm not really into the subject matter, it will be a great discussion book. This book is mainly about family relationships, and end of life issues. A bit of a downer.

This book is ok so far. There is some humor in it...but I'm just not a big romance book fan. The main character is obtuse and socially inept and in search of a wife...... and yes there proably is someone for everyone if your willing to compromise.

This book is a little slow.....130 pages into it and so far not much has happened . A WWII pilot , who flew for a major airline in the USA has retired and decided to go back to France to look up people who helped him when he ditched his plane during the war. Hope it picks up a bit or I'm going to discard it.

This book has pretty good reviews. I usually like this type of book but this one is just not grabbing me yet....I'm going to plw through a bit longer. Briony the main character is a bit spoiled and self centered, Cecilia seems to be unsettled and unsure about what to do with her life and her childhood best friend. Also the writting style does not seem to have enough continunity for me.

This is a really fun and quirky read and I'm thinking I'm going to really like this series!

This is the 2nd in a series of The Friday Night Knitting Club. I like the first book bett but maybe by the end I will feel differently.

So far a light summer read. A bit more than a romance set in NYC in the 1950s. Touches on working girls giving up their jobs to become wives and mothers and social status of the upper crust , middle class and working class and how things begin to change after WWII.

So far a light summer read...enjoying an easy woman's fiction. I plan to read more light /entertaining books for the rest of the summer. Also I have to get some off my nightstand !
