So so excited to jump into this book and devour it. And before the release day!!!! I loved Hekate (book 1) and the unique way of Nikita Gill's writing. So far it's an absolute banger.

Mallory Haunting: oh I didn't see that one coming! That was a fun one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Crawlspace: creepy. Honestly I hate children in horror stories so much. This triggered my claustrophobia worse than the basement one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hitchhiker: sinkholes! Cool and fun premise, very nonchalantly dealt with, I would be losing it to be honest. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sub Basement: oh absolutely fucking not. Why would you do that? After all that? For a normal job? No thanks. Backrooms from hell or something like that. No. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Watcher: Ew ew ew very creepy. Something about not being able to look away and having to stare through a window at the night really works for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

7. Dead Call: don't think I got the actual thing out of this story. I thought about it and can see what it is trying to do, but absolutely didn't come across. ⭐️
8. Lucy: very much a seen it before kind of story. Though it feels good to see a milder, happy ending story. We. Do. Not. Help. People. We. Don't. Know. Alone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Cutry Street Lamp: short even for a short story. Would've loved more about this weird lamp actually. ⭐️⭐️

The Mannequin: ew ew ew. Another creepy story about Mannequins. Similar vibes to the first one, but a slightly different setting. Perhaps this came before Lights Out. Terrible situation to be in. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Whose woods they are: got to love creepy forests, animals going deadly quiet and things laughing in the dark. This ending caught me by surprise, love that. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Mirror Man: mirrors usually work for me since it's easily creepy, but this one wasn't for me. Probably too short and not enough things happened before the 'big reveal'. ⭐️⭐️

Crypt: again this is a cool premise and cool take on it too, but I am not into vampires. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

1. Lights Out: deeply deeply creepy story that is basically the story of a horror game I know exists. This came out before the game. It did what it needed to do and the ending was great too. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
