This FMC is giving me nothing and where is this plot going? If I see one more cringe worthy sentence I’m DNF’ing

I loved the first two books but this one is taking me forever to get in to tbh.

It’s not stimulating me the same as the others and I’m finding myself quite bored. I’m going to take a pause and come back to it.

This was honestly so boring. An attempt to drown out the shit plot and the lacklustre enemies to lovers with overwhelming prose. DNF’d

This is the worst hyped up smut I’ve ever read.

Which is all nice and lovely but that’s not what I’m looking for. Eager for it to be over. Which is disappointing because I’ve really enjoying this series up until now.

Does this author think that we’ve just stumbled on to dark romance? That we don’t know what the police do. Or what CSI does? Girl the documentaries I’ve watched would make your hair curl.

Not everything needs an explanation why am I torturing myself.

Did this author have a word count? Because why is there way too many paragraphs about buying a sandwich. That 🌶️ scene was the most mundane thing ever written. I need to just give up. When are we gonna get to the point if we’re wasting words?

I am 24 pages in. It is already terrible!? Will I DNF it? No. I refuse to be beaten.

Reading this book is like reading poetry. It’s beautiful. Do I have a single idea of what’s happening? Absolutely not.

It’s like beautiful monotony.

Despite my awe at the very beginning I’m now on the struggle bus trying to remember what all the different fantasy names are 😞

I have only just started and WOW. High expectations. What a beautiful way to start a book.

You will have to leave all your feminist ideals but mainly your morals at the door when you read this. So far it’s worth it.

Ngl. Bored of this now. Get on with it. There’s anticipation….Love that. Tingles in me toes for anticipation. This. This is dragggging on. Why am I still reading this series 🙃
