I wanted to give this book a solid try as it’s someone’s favorite but…no.

This book has made the mistake of introducing a side plot I am way more interested in that is both tragic and sapphic. Alas it is not the story I am reading

Branching out to read something I usually never would’ve: a straight romance. We are not very far in, and we’ve already highlighted an older woman that focused primarily on her career and not having grandchildren. What a waste of a life. Challenging myself to get at least 10 to 15% in before I bail.
