Apologies for the lack of activity. I have been developing a personal curriculum (which I have started) and tried to catch my profile up to my progress in it.

A very silly book that spends most of its time around the conspiracy for the war than the war itself.
We're well past the halfway mark, and it's been a lot of budget Jason Bourne, conspiracist whodunnitry with comically strange characters, especially the children. The first inkling a war may be coming was just mentioned a few pages ago.

A great tale, one that's best to enter blindly.
Brings up interesting ideas, told in an interesting way, and loosely based on the fundamental work that is Beowulf. At 180 pages, it's quick and easy to consume, with tension and action from the third chapter on.

A good, fast way to start my run through Crichton's works this year.
