(i’m also utterly bewitched and bewildered by captain nemo, same as ever. i’m in love with him, he can do no wrong!!!)

FINALLY reading this bc i’m on a fantasy roll. these were some of my sisters favorite books growing up, the fact that i haven’t gotten into them sooner remains a mystery to me, considering that i was Really into the napoleonic wars as a pre-teen. that paired with dragons ??? what a concept (i do remember that i really wanted to get into them but was simply scared bc they were Big Books)
