Bardugo really has a way of capturing that feeling of not belonging and fighting the constant imposter syndrome many of us face.

You feel a solidarity with Alex when she commiserates not knowing an author or an artist someone mentions.

Imposter syndrome sucks, but seeing Alex struggle through it and get out on the other side really just makes your own situation seem a little more hopeful.

I know I just started... And I know she has a lot of baggage...but I cannot stand one of the main characters.
Everyone else is great. And I understand why she is the way she is, but she feels like she is unnecessarily difficult and edgy for the heck of it. D:<
