So far so good. A nice dose of spice in it. Can’t wait to see how the rest of it plays out.

I’m not really caring for the author’s narration, but I am learning a few things.

The chapter “Mammies, or, How They Show out in Harlem” got major side eye from me. Actually, Scooter’s wife got allll the side eye. 😒😒

Think this is the first book to make me a little teary eyed. Lydia’s story is so sad.

I’m slowly chipping away at this massive read, but I’m hopeful it’s going to be a great way to end the year. I’m beginning to get wrapped up in the story.

The story is finally getting juicy. I’m still not sure what year it is.

So far. It’s a little confusing Benji and Hetty are married, but they behave as if they barely know each other. Sharing quick little tender moments. Chased kisses even though they live together. I’m starting to wonder how long they’ve been married. Also, there has yet to be any conducting, which has me a little bored which this.

I think I have an idea who the third wolf is. 🫢

It’s getting interesting. I called myself trying to figure out who was at fault, but there’s no point when you’re dealing with a crazy person. Amy is definitely certifiable.

This is a VERY slow moving read.

This story is going too slowly. I’m losing interest.

Following the two timelines has been pretty interesting.
