Why is this book so funny?

You know that REALLY annoying trope where the plot only moves forward because of a misunderstanding and if the characters had just communicated it would have saved everyone a headache?
So far, this book doesn't have that. Yay for just being honest.

I'm picturing Will as Jason Mamoa...

I didn't realize this was a second book in a series...

But I'm 8 pages in and so far I've laughed until I was practically choking... So I'm going to keep going and hope reading these in order isn't vital to the story.

This book is so strangle written... One POV is first person present tense, and the second POV is third person past tense. It keeps throwing me off.

That's not too day I'm not loving the book! It's just a bit disorienting.

I really hope we get more Vale and Lilith.

Both of these girls are unbearably arrogant. I actually really liked them at first but the pride they have is distracting and annoying.

I've struggled to find the desire to read this. I'm interested in the topic, but somehow the writing style isn't connecting with me. However, this chapter called "Love vs Truth" is maybe exactly what I'm looking for.

Honestly up until now it felt like quite a bit of exposition and talking and not a lot really happening. But I got to a twist and it's delicious!!

I didn't expect to get some of Kate's perspective, and I like it!

This book has a bit of everything, but I did not expect America as the new Jerusalem! What a way to twist the Word of God.

I think the problem is there isn't enough Celine in this book. I toyed with the idea of DNFing it, but I'm hoping book 3 is really good, so I'm giving myself the goal of getting this done before Christmas.

I feel like all I've gotten are two short fight scenes, and a lot of complaining and confusion. I liked these characters in book one, I'm trusting the peace picks up soon...
