100 pages in. Shit’s gotten creepy.

Half way through and finding it quite repetitive. I’ll keep going.

I’m giving Shaun Hutson one last try.

Struggling with this one.

It improved greatly.

Really struggling with this one. The change in prose is immediately apparent. I’ll give it another 50 pages, but at present it’s a pale imitation of Jack Reacher.

Soooo my new book is out to buy. Have a look, have a read, and let me know what you think!

Not to tempt fate, but I’m really enjoying this. Not sure I like the protagonist much, but the plotting is exemplary.

Time for a re-read during this current pandemic.

Bloody hell this is grim. Probably shouldn’t be reading this alongside Shrine by James Herbert - duel horror is a tad overwhelming - but I think I’m starting to GET Adam Nevill. I hope this continues to be good.

First draft of short story compilation Among Other Things DONE. Sent off for editing while I plan the next project.

Had fully intended to do my 1,500 words this morning but the new Jack Reacher just got tres intense. Looks like there’ll be afternoon writing instead.

Nanowrimo off to a good start. Hopefully have the bloody short story collection finished by the end of the year.

Giving it another go. Started reading it when I wasn’t really a fan of SF. Might enjoy it now.

Time for a re-read.

Taking surprisingly long to get through this. I'll persevere but really not digging this one compared to Sanctus.

Man I forgot how good Clancy can be. The sheer detail and complexities of the narrative, even in the early stages, are just staggering.
