The previous book was a struggle to finish until the last couple chapters. Ended on a cliffhanger that had me running to this book… only to be smacked in the face with my least favorite trope 😒

I’m struggling. The slow burn rivals Spark of the Everflame. The FMC is kind of irritating me. The writing is just ok & I’m finding it hard to go on. I’ve started skimming pages which I’ve never done before. I don’t want to DNF b/c I kind of want to know what happens to Blake (sorry, medra is on my last nerve 🤷🏻‍♀️)
