ten chapters in and i already feel changed by this book. stories within stories and steinbeck’s pen was on FLAMES with some of these descriptions- so beautifully crafted! racism within the first chapter was crazy but it’s become more ignorable now

I can't WAIT for my life to be changed pls I need the transformative powers of a good book right now
