Not an easy book to read or in fact fully understand - constantly refuses to do what you're expecting, while also tipping the hat to every slasher trope there is. I'm not sure if I enjoyed it, but I'll definitely remember it.

I feel like this book has punched me in the face honestly

I haven't actually finished it. I slogged through 583 pages before deciding I just didn't care enough to continue. Most of the characters are just irritating.

Giving up. Not my cup of tea at all. It just doesn't hold my interest and I don't think I can stand another 400 pages!

There's something intangible that I find really irritating about the way this is written. It manages to be dull despite having interesting subject matter. It doesn't help that so far, most of the female characters have between written as total morons. (For example, Jill's shock that she might actually get in trouble for planting a wire to eavesdrop on a top secret government operation.)
