I have cried my eyes out the whole way haha.

“‘Cleopatra commanded a fleet, battled insurrections, controlled Egypt's vast wealth, and survived famines. All that and history likes to portray her as a mere slip of a woman, a saucy vixen luring men to their downfalls.”

So far, the plot development is a little slow. But I have enjoyed some of the back and forth banter between characters. Inez has some sass every now and then <3

I am keeping my expectations low, because it seems people enjoyed Fourth Wing way more than this sequel. We shall see what happens, haha.

Enjoying so far. :)

It’s finally here! :D

“…if you must track things to their origin, you could also blame your mother and father—if they didn’t give birth to you, then you wouldn’t have ascended, and therefore wouldn’t have descended. By that logic you could blame your entire ancestry.”

I love seeing where Xie Lian began, and being able to see these moments that showed him the truth of the world.

Young Hua Cheng bringing fresh flowers to the crown prince shrines every day..

“…I am no long afraid of his neglect, so why should I be afraid of his condemnation?”
