This is so fucking depressing

This book is too interesting to put down but so depressing I need a break

I hate it but can’t stop reading about it. I dont hate it but it has intentional unlikeable characters.
Anne is sometimes too stupid to feel real. Maybe after a few pages it will make more sense

I love the writing and the story but i am taking my time

Apart fromthe “male gaze experiment” bit, I am enjoying it a lot and it’s getting me out of a reading slump. Surely I am not expecting a life changing read, but at least it’s not making me roll my eyes. Characters are fun. Good enough. I enjoy the pictures. Even though the hyper realistic ones look ai generated. Maybe i am wrong.

If the female mc was a spice, she would be salt, yet somehow the vampire thinks she is “one of a kind”??? I have read their conversations, you can’t lie to me she is as plain as flour.

It says vampire but he acts like an alien. You’re telling me an immortal being finds out what pots and pans are in the year 2023? He doesn’t know what trash is? Come on

Had two coffees since my last update. Bad idea considering the fact that coffee gives me anxiety. I am hating this part of the book. I get it, she is edgy and “not like other girls”. Still failing to see the point of this book though.

Page turner. Idk if it’s a good sign or not. The mc is insufferable which is the point I guess. I just don’t understand the purpose of some books. Is it just trying to disturb you and make you laugh? It’s one of those books that you read to get out of a reading slump I suppose. Literary fiction is a joke.

I am so tired of these formulaic indie short stories that try to be scary and never go anywhere. No plot, no idea, no message, nothing. Just some mediocre gore. The storytelling is good but I hate that authors have lost their originality lately.
