Captivating

Poppa and Anja were indeed blessed. I couldn’t imagine how terrible it was for the poor people! So far this book is eye opening!

We get a brief introduction of Artie coming home , riding rolling blades with his friends. Artie falls and his friends keep going without looking back. We meet Artie’s poppa. Following this intro we fast forward in time to a much older Artie.He come back to visit his family but it’s been almost two years since he seen them! His father greets and him! Artie then ask his father to talk about how he met his mom

The Nuban …. This story is insane 😂

So Jorg is kind of an asshole. The guy is smart because he leading a band of misfits/bandits at the age of 14 ?!! That’s insane. We found out his dad is the king and Jorg is a prince. It’s interesting being only in Jorg head during these travel scenes we are having.

I get it. The madness and the savagery. Jorg had a pretty rough up bringing. Indeed, this book is dark but Mark Lawerence writing is phenomenal. I love how easily you can read his prose and immediately get what he is saying.

Awww damn… Tim done brought this man into the cabin with the boys. He gets the bright idea to just now radio in that the man is sick. The hungry man takes the radio from Tim and smashes on the floor. STUPID 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Ummmm..🤨 Tim Riggs is schmuck ! Like dude why are you on an island with just a shortwave radio and the possibility of a storm encroaching. Not only that you bring kids aka “venturers” along. Kent, Ephraim, Max ,Shelley , and Newton. They all give off unique smells ?!!! Is what Tim kindly summed up. This not looking good whatsoever. I am excited to see what happens next!!

I am not going to lie Stephen Kings is freaking brilliant. Although,it is taking me longer than usual to finish this book. I am genuinely immersed into it. I love Billy Summers as a character and how much depth we get about him.

If I was Valeria , I would have just stay in the house and locked the doors. Why go to explore it?!!!
