Intro and 3 chapters down. LWTG explores how humans across history have used religion and belief to make sense of the world. Whilst it’s interesting, it’s a fairly ambitious idea to articulate, without oversimplifying. Also there’s a clear British Museum bias shaping it.

C1 = imagination creates belief
C2 = belief becomes institutional and political
C3 = the environment becomes a source of religious meaning
