Insufferable, and considering dnfing

Truly just “all men do is lie on repeat” in a way that is simply exhausting

A little annoyed bc I’m 100 pages in & they keep randomly recapping things that happened in the previous books and I know I’m reading them in quick succession & the reminders may have been useful to someone reading them as they came out but it’s fundamental parts of the story that the reader is constantly being reminded of & at a certain point the author has to trust the audience to figure it out.

The first book in the series intrigued me enough and the books were readily available on Libby and I’m at the beach with my family so here we are

Quite literally still reading chapter one but starting the book with the main character waking up and realizing her period started is so interesting. Like it’s a jarring and somewhat off putting introduction in the way it’s described but in such an intentional way that really sets up the themes the book claims to touch on. I am intrigued

I’ve barely begun and I’m already enjoying it so much I forgot how much I love reading satire
